Day 1: Travel to Aberdare National Park

• Morning: Depart from Nairobi early in the morning by road, heading towards the central highlands of Kenya. The drive gives you an opportunity to enjoy the changing landscapes from cityscapes to lush highlands.
• Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge located inside Aberdare National Park. Enjoy lunch and settle in. Begin your safari adventure with an afternoon game drive through the dense forested landscape, looking out for elephants, black rhinos, and leopards.
• Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner. Enjoy the unique ambiance of the highlands at night, possibly spotting nocturnal animals from the lodge’s viewing deck.

Day 2: Full Day of Exploration

• Morning to Evening: After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the national park. Drive through the moorlands and lower forests, with stops at waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife, including rare sightings of the bongo antelope. A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park’s picturesque locations.
• Evening: Return to your lodge in the evening. After dinner, join a guided night walk if available, experiencing the sounds and sights of the forest after dark.

Day 3: More Wildlife and Cultural Experience

• Morning: Early morning game drive to experience the park when animals are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
• Afternoon: After lunch, visit a nearby local community center where you can interact with the local people and learn about their culture and traditions. Participate in cultural activities or a community-led conservation project.
• Evening: Spend your last evening at the lodge, enjoying a special dinner. Share stories of your experiences and enjoy the peaceful highland environment.

Day 4: Leisure Morning and Return to Nairobi

• Morning: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a final walk around the lodge grounds or a short morning drive.
• Mid-Morning: Check out from your lodge and begin the journey back to Nairobi. The drive back offers one last chance to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Kenyan highlands.
• Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon, bringing your highlands safari to a close.
